Trent Lakes’ municipal office and all transfer stations will be closed on Good Friday (April 3) and Easter Monday (April 6). The municipal office will reopen on Tuesday, April 7 at 8:30 a.m.

The well water sampling program resumes next Tuesday in the Municipality of Trent Lakes and the Township of North Kawartha. The program offers free sample collection kit pick-up and sample drop-off through these municipal offices.
As of April 1, 2026, there shall be no daytime burning in Trent Lakes between the hours of 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
No daytime burning will be in effect until October 31, 2026.

Lakelands Public Health is inviting residents across the region to share their ideas, concerns, and priorities for the future of community health as Lakelands Public Health launches a series of Community Town Halls.
The sessions are designed to create an open forum where community members can discuss the health issues that matter most to them and help inform future public health priorities.

The Municipality of Trent Lakes is receiving $503,000 from the Ontario Government through the Municipal Ice Storm Assistance program (MISA).
Through the MISA program, the Ontario Government is providing up to $9,931,000 for ice storm assistance for the City of Peterborough, Peterborough County, and its lower tiers. Funding received will help cover clean-up and emergency response costs due to a severe winter weather event on March 28, 2025.
Load restrictions are now in effect for all municipal roads in Trent Lakes until May 1, 2026.
Peterborough County Road 507, from County Road 36 to Haliburton County Boundary also has a load restriction in effect by Peterborough County until further notice.
The program supports tourism-focused businesses and organizations through matched funding for new projects that will further tourism in the region.
